Sandwich Sunday supplies food for Shepherd’s Table/Progress Place in Silver Spring. Parishioners meet monthly in the Msgr. Stricker Room at 10am to make sandwiches. We welcome donations of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made at home and dropped off at the MSR between 10am-11am on the Saturday we make sandwiches. Use whole wheat bread, place the individual sandwiches in a baggie (Fold & Close or Ziploc), and put the baggies back into the bread bags. Mark the bread bags with the type and number of sandwiches. Shepherd’s Table also also eagerly accepts donations of fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, granola, canned meat, canned vegetables, pasta and spaghetti sauce.
