Adult Faith Formation

Adult Formation is the principal form of catechesis, because it is addressed to persons who have the greatest responsibilities and the capacity to live the Christian message in its fully developed form.(CT 90) The Christian community cannot carry out a permanent catechesis without the direct and skilled participation of adults, whether as receivers or as promoters of catechetical activity. For catechesis to be effective, it must be permanant, and it would be quite usless if it stopped short of the threshhold of maturity.

BIBLE STUDY

Bible Study meets on Thursday evenings during Lent, Spring, Fall and Advent. Together in a comfortable and engaging setting, we learn more about the Catholic faith through Scripture. The sessions typically run 4 to 6 weeks. For more information, contact Ron Farias at 301-593-0357. Or email parish@stbernadetteschurch.org.

PEOPLE IN PRAYER

On Thursday mornings every week, a group of faithful parishioners meet to discuss the Mass readings, pray for their own intentions, the intentions of the parish, and the needs of the world. For more information, contact Sally Murphy at 301-587-1071.
